Sneakers are truly having a moment right now. Previously, sneakers were usually reserved for the gym and were probably the last pair of shoes I would reach for going out on a Friday night. However, I’ve been really inspired lately by street style photos featuring bloggers and fashion it girls wearing sneakers with just about everything, including dressier evening wear. I decided to get out of my comfort zone and give this look a try, and let me tell you, my feet have never been happier! Imagine a night of bar hopping where you’re not desperately seeking a seat everywhere you go. My feet can tap out pretty quick when I’m wearing heels, so wearing sneakers allowed me to enjoy my evening so much more.

Another great reason to let your sneakers get a little fancy is the fact that they can take an outfit that might have otherwise been too dressy instantly feel appropriate and a little edgy. The reason for this is the fact that wearing a sneaker rather than a heel with an outfit is unexpected and adds some visual interest to your look. Honestly, the hardest part about this is getting out of your (non)comfort zone that says you gotta wear heels for going out at night. Trust me, your feet will thank you for taking this fashion risk!
