How to Be Comfy and Stylish: A Menswear Inspired Look

January 23, 2017

A menswear inspired look for women

Well, Monday is upon us, and I am NOT ready for it. Seriously the weekend goes by way too fast, am I right? I am here to help ease you into the week with a great comfy but chic outfit inspired by menswear. That’s right, I am literally and figuratively borrowing from the boys today with this look. Truth be told, these pants are SO COMFORTABLE. You have no idea. Unfortunately, they are sold out, but I have linked some similar options for you below that should also do the trick. The point is, this outfit allows you to be comfy as hell while still looking like you made an effort and, might I add, somewhat cool.

This look isn’t all boyish though—you know I had to throw in something girly to keep it feminine. That is where this velvet camisole comes in handy. It’s sort of boudoir vibe gives this outfit a slightly sultry vibe that it needs to keep it balanced. Throw a boyfriend’s/husband’s/spouse’s button down over it all, and you’re good to go! If you don’t have any of the above sort of man in your life, I highly recommend adding a men’s button down to your wardrobe. The oversized fit of them can give any look a sort of easy, breezy, street-style girl cool vibe to any look.

In other news, last weekend was both weird and amazing, am I right? As much as I would’ve loved to have gotten out and marched, I was deeply moved by the sheer number of women (and men), not just here in the United States, but all over the world who marched for equality for all. My hope is that we can keep that spirit alive in the months and years ahead, because that kind of unity was truly amazing to see. It was a great example of how strong we as women can be when we are united to help one another, instead of pitting ourselves against each other. All this to say, nice work ladies! Let’s keep it up!
