Cheers to the Freakin’ Weekend…Bubbly Bar How-To

March 25, 2016

Happy Easter weekend! I figured since this weekend is probably the mother of all brunch weekends, why not talk about a crowd-pleasing and super easy idea…a bubbly bar brunch! My girlfriends and I are big brunchers. I know that’s not a word, but seriously, we take brunch seriously. A couple weekends ago, I decided to invite the girls over to my place for brunch rather than go out for our favorite Sunday Funday vice…bottomless mimosas. Obviously, the food was important, but what was more important was, you guessed it, the bubbly. Instead of just doing the old mundane OJ-Champagne combo, I decided to take this up a notch and give my guests options. For my bubbly bar, I grabbed pomegranate/blueberry, orange, cold-pressed watermelon juice, and Tropicana “Tropical Green,” which basically was a crazy but delicious mix of kale/apple/mango/kiwi/sweet potato/pineapple/banana/carrot juices. The juice choices out there are limitless, so be creative and think outside the box. I have to say, the cold-pressed watermelon juice was probably the favorite at my party. To really take this up a notch, find a fun little chalkboard and write up the juice options in a creative way. Also, find something to put your juice in besides the not so cute plastic bottles that juice usually comes in. I was in a pinch, so I used some mason jars I had around, but I will link to some much more adorable options below.

I hope you have a great weekend filled with bubbly yumminess! Just remember ladies, throw a towel over the bottle when you are opening them to be safe! Corks might look small, but they’re under about 90 pounds of pressure and that can do some serious damage. Safety first and please drink responsibly! 😉
