Add Some Color To Your Space: LikSquared

I have been on a mission lately to step up my interior decor game. I think a lot of times, I tend to focus so much on adding to my wardrobe that I don’t think to allocate some attention and budget to creating a well-decorated home. While our apartment is not exactly my dream home, I’ve come to realize that you don’t have to wait until you’re in the “ideal” living space to make the best of what you have. That’s where some well-placed art can come into play to create a big impact. I was recently turned on to the incredible work of Peter Lik, who is an award-winning photographer who excels at capturing the vibrancy and beauty of nature.

Lik’s collection, Liksquared, is a stunning collection of prints produced on Fujiflex Crystal Archive media and are coated in acrylic so they really shine. These prints are so colorful and vivid, which if you follow along on my Instagram, then you know how much this girl loves colorful pictures in squares! There were so many gorgeous prints of epic views and landscapes to choose from, but I wanted to make sure that the prints I chose had some meaning to my fiance and me. I chose this gorgeous field full of sunflowers because I can’t help but feel happiness whenever I see a sunflower, let along a huge field of them. I also chose this print because sunflowers hold significance to my fiance due to the fact that the wild sunflower is the state flower of Kansas, where his father was from and where he spent many summers throughout his childhood on his family’s farm.

The second print I chose, which features a sunset over Los Angeles, is a bit more obvious in its significance to us. After living on the West Coast for almost ten years, this place has really become home to me and I find that I really miss the palm trees and the gorgeous sunsets when I’m away. The colors in this print are absolutely stunning and vibrant, just like the real-life sunsets we get to witness every day.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these prints to anyone looking to inject some color and gorgeous scenery into their home. These clean white, hardwood frames or “Shadowboxes” as they are called really showcase the art and make it pop, and they are incredibly easy to hang. Check the full collection out here.
