Winter Neutrals That Are Anything But Basic

What’s good y’all, it is FRIDAYYYYY!!! Alright, before we get into this post about my unbasic winter neutrals, just a little blog update. I know things have been a little bit like crickets around here for the last little while…hell….the last six months actually, ever since the wedding have been really sparse. I’ve personally been dealing with a lot of personal stuff, some of which is most definitely burnout. However, I am glad to say I am back baby and I am ready to bring you guys some really awesome new content

and hopefully do some different things that you will love! Thank you to each and every one of you who takes the time to read this blog, comment, say hey over on Insta….you have no idea how much each and every interaction I have with you guys means to me!

Alright, mushy stuff aside, let’s get into this fashion post on winter neutrals! I think everyone definitely knows me for wearing a lot of color, and normally, I always have at least one color on, if not more. I am a color lover, but, lately I’ve been super inspired by more neutral, paired down looks that I’ve been seeing, and I wanted to challenge myself to step out of my colorful comfort zone and style an entire outfit of neutrals. The result? An outfit of winter neutrals that I have actually repeated multiples times….yes, I am an outfit repeater, guilty as charged! I think they key to a great winter neutrals look is to play with different tones, textures, and patterns, and the result is a look that is neutral, but anything but basic.

Let’s break this winter neutrals outfit down from top to bottom, shall we? First of all, this BEAUTIFUL hat from Lack of Colour. This hat company seriously makes the most gorgeous hats, and I have had my eye on this one for a while and finally broke down and got it. At $150, it was a bit of a splurge for me, but I’ve already worn it so many times, gotten so many compliments, and honestly, a beautiful, stiff flat brim hat like this does not come cheap…trust me, I have looked! There are some things in life that are just worth the money, and this hat is one of them!

While we are on the topic of accessories, this Angela Roi bag has become my new everyday staple. I love Angela Roi’s bags, they are all so well-made and with vegan leather! You would never know to to look at it because it honestly feels and looks like real leather, but it is indeed cruelty free. Shop my Angelou Mini Bucket bag here….I love that you can wear it as either a bucket or over the shoulder style!

One of my go-to online shopping jams is Shein, which should be no surprise to any of the Miss Moore Style regulars around here. The quality of their pieces gets better and better, and I am fully convinced a lot of it is the same stuff you might find at places like Zara, but for a lower price point. I’ve been wanting a check coat for a while now, one that wasn’t too heavy, and I found it in this beauty! The check pattern really adds to the dimension of this winter neutrals look. In other fantastic news…to all my fabulous readers, you can get 15% off your order till 3/31/19 with code Missmoore15!

As for my bottom half, I’ve been on the hunt for some wide leg, culotte style denim for a while, and H&M came through with this pair that’s less than $30. I think the last great addition to my winter neutrals look are these snakeskin booties. This particular pair are sold out, but I’ll link some similar options below for you all! I hope this outfit has helped to illustrate that neutrals don’t have to be basic or boring, and you can really create a rich looking outfit by playing with your textures and patterns!
