Ok, so for all my American readers out there, you know its coming soon…we will soon be saying Happy Birthday, Amurika in a little less than two weeks from now. This means you
have very little time to get your outfit together for the fouth of July. Don’t worry, I’m here to help! Fourth of July holds a special place in my heart for a couple reasons. First, its a quintessential summer holiday. I have so many warm memories of BBQ’s, long days by the pool or the beach that culminated in a fantastic fireworks show. Also, and more significantly, it is my fiance and I’s anniversary of when we officially started dating. Needless to say, Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year for so many reasons!
Here’s the low-down on this look. First of all, I picked up this super cute t-shirt from an online boutique called Livy Lu, who have all kinds of fun, retro-inspired graphic t-shirts to choose from. I grabbed this American Woman t-shirt because I loved the 70’s vibes it was giving me, what with the font and the print of the eyes behind the sunglasses. It is a bit slouchy, so keep that in mind when you’re ordering. I like to wear mine off one shoulder for a different look. I thought this t-shirt would look absolutely perfect with my new gingham mini skirt from Shoedazzle. Honestly, I have to restain myself when it comes to gingham because I’ve been out of control buying everything in this print lately. But can you blame me, it is so on trend at the moment!
Lastly, we gotta talk about my sunhat. I am OBSESSED with this hat and have wanted a sunhat with a fun message on it for a long time. Luckily for me, I have a whole family full of artistic, creative people to call upon, so believe it or not, my ever talented cousin Caroline created this graphic hat for me. She has recently started an online boutique called Moody Girl Clothing which specializes in one-of-a-kind pieces, and is open to doing commissions!
