Happy New Year everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am still trying to recover from the holidays. For whatever reason, they really took it out of me this year! I am definitely not cryin’ about this because I had a great time spending time with my close friends and family. I ate way too much, which is why I am bringing you an outfit with a gorgeous, flowy blouse. Pretty, flowy blouses are your friend this time of year if you took full advantage of your own baking skills on Christmas, as I did. I mean seriously, if you could taste my Christmas cookies, you’d know what I’m talking about.

But enough bragging about my superior baking skills, that’s not why you’re here is it? I’m just going to warn you, in the coming weeks, you might be seeing a fair amount of faux fur pieces from me. There are a couple reasons for this…the first of which is the fact that I looooove me some fur, especially when its faux and I don’t have to feel guilty about where it came from. The second reason is that it has been unusually cold here in Southern California. You don’t know the kind of joy that cold weather brings me because it means I can actually wear things like faux fur jackets and not get too warm doing so.

I also want to talk for just a minute about these awesome jeans. Coated denim is kind of my new obsession. The thing to love about coated denim is the fact that they look like leather, yet they are not leather. That means that you’re not going to sweat your butt off (literally) in these, yet you still get the same look. I know I said it is chilly here right now, but it definitely isn’t cold enough for a faux fur and leather pants, you know what I mean?! Honestly, if you are looking to change up your denim game, these are a great option.
