Leather and Lace

November 7, 2016

img_4055

If there is one thing that I definitely love styling, it is two pieces that don’t seem like they would go together. Take this delicate lacy top and these black leather leggings for example. One is very soft and feminine and the other is edgy, but when put together, they create a fun and unexpected combination. I am currently obsessed with this top/dress from Free People, I love how free-free flowing and breezy it is (Find similar, more affordable versions of this here).  Also, this might be a dress, but….it does not work out that way for me. I’m not even especially tall but, #tallpeopleproblems.

Speaking of mixing unlikely pieces, I also am a huge fan of mixing metals. Don’t let anyone rain on your parade by telling you that gold and silver can’t be worn together, because this is simply not true. I personally think that these two pieces I picked up from Kevin Jewelers go incredibly well together. While we are on the subject of jewelry, we are now a week into November, which means you’ll blink about 3 times and Christmas will be here, soooo…it is time to start considering some gift ideas! I will be coming out with a gift guide about every week here from now until Christmas, but these two pieces would make fabulous gifts for any jewelry lover on your list! This super affordable sterling silver round diamond infinity necklace is only $99, so it definitely is perfect for someone on a budget. This 14kt gold criss-cross ring with 1/4ct diamonds, it is such a gorgeous piece and so on trend, and it is definitely on my wish list. Here’s the awesome news: I have a special promo code for 10% any in-store purchases made at Kevin Jewelers, just mention KJLA November to the salesperson. If you’re more about online shopping, use code JESSICA537 through December 31 for 10% your purchases there. Also, Kevin Jewelers is offering a crazy promotion for a free trip to Vegas or Hawaii. You can get a trip to Vegas when you spend $299, or a trip to Hawaii when you spend $2499. Imagine, surprising that special someone on your list with bling AND a trip…that would be pretty epic if you ask me! This offer only lasts until November 30, so make sure and get your holiday shopping done early.

Love how you’ve mixed feminine and edgy and I totally agree about mixing metals. I pretty much always have sliver/white gold, gold, and rose gold going on.

If there’s one thing I will always love, it’s white lace with a flash of black to accessorize. So chic!

The boho details are fabulous and I’m always drawn toward monochrome looks. Great post!

Oooh, I have this tunic as well! Right now I’m rocking it as a dress, but I definitely need to wear it with leather leggings now!
