If there’s one thing I am a firm believer in, it is mixing high and low pieces. Simply put, I really think there are certain things that are worth investing in, and other things that you can definitely find at a bargain that still look incredible. You don’t always have to spend a ton of money for something to look expensive! Case in point: this gorgeous dress from one of my new favorite online shops, Make Me Chic. They have some awesome pieces that have that high-end look but you can get them for a fraction of the price. The cut-out details on this dress really make it special and unique, it definitely doesn’t look like a $42 dollar dress, am I right?
On the other hand, there are other pieces for your wardrobe that are so worth the splurge. Obviously, these Louboutins can’t be replicated and will never go out of style since they are a classic color and style. While they are a bit more of an investment, check out my post from earlier this summer where I talk about the best and most cost-efficient way to buy a pair…it involves a trip to Paris, but if you happen to be going already, it is definitely a great read!
Another pretty obvious place that is so worth splurging and will last you a lifetime is your jewelry! You know what they say…diamonds are forever, right? Lately I have been loving playing around with ring stacking. Creating different groupings of rings that are different colors and sizes creates a really pretty and interesting mix. Surprisingly, wedding bands are a great way to achieve this look. When worn stacked on your right ring finger as opposed to your left, they can make a gorgeous fashion statement. I picked two wedding bands, one in platinum and one in rose gold, and mixed it with two stacking rings from Kevin Jewelers, and I love the effect! If you do happen to be married, adding wedding bands to your engagement ring and current wedding band is another fun option, you can take your set to the next level by creating more dimension.
