Remember a couple of posts ago when I told you to lose your pants and wear a shirt dress? In a new turn of events, wearing a dress over pants is currently also a thing. I am not sure if I am completely sold on this concept, but, I decided to give it a try. Here’s what I discovered: if said “dress” has a slit all the way up one side, then I didn’t get that same weird bulky feeling that could understandably come from wearing a long dress like this over jeans. Honestly, calling this a dress is probably being a bit liberal, but whatever you classify it as, it’s a great layering piece. This could work just as well with leggings or shorts underneath. Also, the fact that one side is covered and the other side is completely open sort of gives a fun surprise to your look.
If these photos are a bit blurry, please excuse me. I was playing around with my tripod and self timer today on the top floor of my school’s parking structure trying to get these shots. It’s always interesting to try to take pictures of yourself…no matter how deserted you think a place is, there’s always people, (it’s LA, where does one truly go to be alone here?!) and people are terribly curious, especially when you are striking poses in front of a camera all by your lonesome!
