Black (Bow)Tie NYE

IMG_5452

Like it or not, 2014 is nearly over, and we are a day away from toasting the year 2015. New Years Eve is one night of the year that you have to look fabulous. Why would you want to ring in the new year any other way? Usually, my go to for NYE dressing is something VERY sparkly, usually in the form of a dress. While sparkly dresses (or anything sparkly for that matter) do hold a very special place in my heart, I thought this year I would go in a different direction. Lately, I have been loving menswear inspired looks for women. I think it looks strong and sexy in an unexpected way. A couple weeks ago, I stumbled upon this awesome tuxedo shirt at Urban, and have been waiting for the right occasion to bust it out. Of course, I couldn’t really do New Year’s without any sparkle, so I took this sparkly bow, which is actually a hair clip, and turned it into a bowtie. Voila, you have a tuxedo inspired look that will be sure to stand out in the sea of sequins.
